Bel Powley’s Posh & Feminine Fall London Wedding

Actors Bel Powley and Douglas Booth tied the knot this past Saturday at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, London amongst a sea of posh natural greenery and pops of feminine fall pink and red. The couple planned the entire affair within only six months, creating a glamorous and timeless wedding day and we broke down just a few of our favorite moments from their bash.

The Rehearsal Dinner

The Thursday before the wedding, the couple held an intimate rehearsal dinner at Café Cecilia. Bel wore an art deco inspired Simone Rocha drop waist gown adorned with crystal embellishments and soft ruffles.

The minimalist tablescape for their dinner included simplistic white tablecloths, dark wood accents and modern abstract floral arrangements comprised of their wedding color palette and flowers; pink and deep red dahlias alongside subtle fall foliage.

The Wedding Gown

This fall wedding season, we have noted a trend of Miu Miu designs in both gowns and accessories and Bel was no exception. The bride aimed for a piece that felt both vintage yet fresh and simple yet unique.

Her Miu Miu dream dress included thin straps and square neck and tea length bell-shaped skirt, completely embellished in crystals and organza flowers.

The Bridesmaids

Each of Bel’s bridesmaids were tasked with wearing various pink dresses that they each felt comfortable in while complementing one another with chic red hair accessories. This is a modern take on bridal party wear, prioritizing both individuality and glamour.

The bridesmaid bouquets perfectly complemented not only their own individual looks but also the bride’s own bouquet, using exclusively red and pink dahlias.

The After-Party

The post ceremony festivities took place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts where the bride continued her theme of fun and feminine Miu Miu looks. This mini dress was a 2021 Miu Miu gown remade in white with additional beautiful crystals and a chic satin bow.

The night was finished off with the groom, Douglas’s favorite chocolate Guinness cake with vibrant red raspberries and lots and lots of champagne!
