4 Trends Of NYBFW

The much anticipated Bridal Fashion week has made its return to New York City. The four-day event was full of luxury bridal gowns, upcoming designers, and modern silhouettes. With in-person shows and digital presentations, it’s safe to say this show was everything we could have dreamed of.

Combining both bridal and fashion (two of our favorite things) we can’t help but feel excited about the future of wedding gowns. With the event coming to an end on Friday, April 8th you may be wondering about the highlights to consider. Lucky for you, we created a guide that highlights all the major trends that emerged from NYBFW 2022. Keep scrolling to see the four new bridal trends to expect this upcoming year!

Trend #1: Mini Dress

We tend to always associate a long gown with an even longer train with all bridal dresses. Although of course, we love a traditional gown, we are thrilled to see a fresh modern take on wedding dresses. Whether the mini dress is worn throughout the entirety of the wedding festivities or changed into during cocktail hour, we are here for it. A short wedding dress offers a flirty and sexy twist to the traditional gown. Don't be afraid to wear more than one dress for your special day.

Trend #2: The Anti-Dress

The anti-wedding dress could better be described as a pantsuit, jumpsuit, or even bridal separates. Here at HGS, we are in full support of this trend! This opens a new door for bridal attire and we can’t wait to see the endless possibilities. A bride wearing a pantsuit is certainly unconventional but undeniably iconic. We are certain you will be labeled the "cool bride" if you choose this option!

Trend #3: Off-The-Shoulder

Another trend that grazed the runway several times was a sleek off-the-shoulder moment. The essence of a shoulderless dress is sophisticated and elegant whilst still being sexy. We have no doubts that an off-the-shoulder wedding gown will be a go-to for future brides. With bare shoulders and a polished silhouette, what’s not to love about this trend.

Trend #4: Corset Top

The corset top isn’t exactly new considering it is inspired by looks from the 20th century. Fashion always comes back into style and we aren’t mad about this one. The corset top can range in many styles and offers a beautiful and classic aesthetic. With a very structured bodice, this style is flattering to all body types. having almost any bride feeling beyond confident on her special day.
